WISDOM: A Study in the Proverbs

Proverbs is a book about wisdom in everyday living. However, at the very beginning of this challenging book, God’s Word sets the foundation of wise living when it says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge….” This demands us to understand that the choices we make in all areas of life, as Ryken says, “are ultimately spiritual and moral in nature.” The life of wisdom that we will be studying will therefore ultimately lead us back to Christ and His gospel. All who truly seek wisdom will find its end in faith and obedience to Him and Him alone.
